"Don't you just love to dress up..."

Cosplay

At this years O-Conn there will be a cosplay and AMV contests.

The Cosplay contest will be broken down into two (2) separate sections:

- Costumes with skits

- Costumes without skits

They will both be judged together by a panel of judges featuring a guest judge. Yes, you read it here first, a guess judge!! Who will it be? You will just have to dress up and come to find out.

The Rules:

1. All performances must be no longer than three (3) minutes. Any skit that lasts longer than 3 minutes can and will be be cut off.

2. All music that will accompany the skit must be on a cd in red book format (ie. can be played in your standard cd player)

3. Said music must contain little to no cursing. An overuse of obscenety will cut off your skit and result in your disqualification.

4. Costumes must be tasteful. You will not be allowed into the contest or the convention hall if your nude or your costume violates any indecent exposure laws.

5. Props will be allowed on stage if they have already made it through weapons check. Which brings us too...

6. No real weapons or pyrotechnics allowed. If you are caught with them, the authorities will be notified, and we don't think anyone wants to be hauled off to jail in a Sailor Moon outfit or looking like Inu Yasha.

7. No jumping on and off the stage. You will be given designated areas in where to travel when going on to and off the stage.

8. No food or drinks should be used on in the area of the contest.

7. Skits need to be clean. Foul language needs to be at a minimum or you will be disqualified.

8. No name calling or rudeness to the judges, before or after your sentencing...errrrrr....their placing of your scores.

9.HAVE FUN!!!!!!!!!!!

And now for the AMV contest rules:

1. Submissions must be on a flash drive, CD, or DVD. No VHS submissions will be accepted, we live in the digital age and you should too.

2. No obscure file formats, if we can't play it, it will be disqualified. If you not sure, save it as a couple of formats. As a rule if Quicktime or VLC can play it, we can too.

3. All submissions must not be longer then 5 minutes.

4. Video must use anime. (I know, pretty common sense but can never be to careful.)

5. No nudity, profanity, or discriminatory material. If you have to ask about it, you probably don't need to show it.

6.HAVE FUN!!!!!!!!!!!

Time for entries at the convention will be posted soon.
